When we talk about thermal waters, we mean hot underground springs, with the help of which you can significantly improve your own health, undergo rehabilitation after surgery, injuries and strengthen immunity. Treatment with healing thermal waters is relevant at any time of the year - both in hot summer and in frosty winter. The tradition of treatment with thermal waters originated in Austria. It was in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in the city of Beregsas, that the first pools filled with water with healing properties appeared. However, thermal waters should not be confused with mineral springs. People do not use thermal waters, but are treated with them by immersing themselves in the reservoir. Hot springs with a water temperature of +20 degrees Celsius are called thermal. They treat more than eighty types of diseases.
Thermal waters are one of the "highlights" of Transcarpathia, which attracts thousands of tourists from all corners of the Ukrainian state. There is a hot spring with healing properties in the small, friendly town of Berehove in Zakarpattia Oblast, located five kilometers from the border with Hungary. Silicon-carbon dioxide-chloride-sodium thermal waters of Berehove are characterized by high mineralization. Due to the special chemical composition, the water is cloudy. There are only three such sources in the world and they are located in New Zealand, Iceland and Kamchatka. The thermal springs of Transcarpathia improve well-being, the state of the hormonal background in women, stabilize the work of the nervous and endocrine systems. People come to Berehove to recover from operations, bone fractures, muscle and tendon injuries, as well as to rest after stressful working days. Hot underground waters can improve the condition of the cardiovascular system. Berehove thermal springs also treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system. They are useful for arthritis, arthrosis, polyarthritis, osteochondrosis, hypotension, hypertension of the I-II degrees, phlebitis, atherosclerosis, radiculitis, neuroses, neurasthenia, sciatica, migraine, insomnia, varicose veins. Water comes from a depth of 1080-1150 meters. Its temperature is initially +57 degrees Celsius, but in swimming pools it decreases from +38 to +33 degrees Celsius (in children's pools to +36 degrees Celsius). Even in winter, the thermal waters of Berehove do not cool down.
